Arsene Wenger is once again set to rotate his squad ahead of Sunday afternoon’s clash with Everton at the Emirates Stadium.
The Arsenal manager made five changes to his starting XI for the midweek visit of Hull City, with Nicklas Bendtner on of the players to come in.
However, the Denmark international could drop to the bench despite opening the scoring on Wednesday evening with Olivier Giroud set to be recalled after being rested.
Jack Wilshere is also pushing for a recall while Theo Walcott could be handed his first start since recovering from injury after three substitute appearances.
Wenger will select his side with one eye on Wednesday evening’s potentially crucial Champions League clash in Napoli, where defeat could see them miss out on progressing to the knockout stages.
Both of last season’s meetings between the sides ended all square, while the Toffees haven’t beaten the Gunners since March 2007.
Meanwhile, the club are set to battle Manchester United for the services of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to TalkSport.
Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the Germany international, has made just one appearance for last season’s Bundesliga and Champions League runners up this campaign.
