Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told the club’s official website that he will rotate his squad regularly over the busy festive period.
The Gunners’ hectic run of fixtures continues tomorrow evening with the visit of Hull City, before a run that sees them face three of the Premier League’s current top five, as well as Napoli in their final Champions League group game all before Christmas Day.
They are currently four points clear at the top of the table, though only six points separate second place Chelsea and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in ninth.
Manchester United currently sit in eighth place, nine points behind Arsenal, though Wenger believes the reigning champions are still in the title race.
David Moyes’ men are the only side to have beaten the Gunners since the opening day of the season, and arguably have the most favourable run of fixtures ahead of them leading to the New Year.
They face Everton and Newcastle United, who are currently fifth and sixth respectively in the next few days before games against teams currently sitting tenth or lower.
The Gunners next face Manchester United, who have already played Liverpool and Manchester City away, at the Emirates in February.
