Vermaelen happy at Arsenal

Thomas Vermealen has insisted that he remains happy at Arsenal, despite rumours that he is set to leave the club,
The Belgian international barely featured in the latter part of the 2012/13 campaign, as Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertersacker emerged as the Gunners first choice centre-back partnership.

Barcelona and Manchester United have been linked with a move for 27 year old, though he has told Ad.nl that he is “working hard” in a bid to once again be in the first team at the Emirates.

The Arsenal captain’s chances at the club will be further outlined depending on the outcome of continued speculation that Swansea City and Wales skipper Ashley Williams will be signed by Arsene Wenger.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star have reported that the club are lining up a £15 million bid for Manchester United winger Nani.

The Portugal international has struggled to hold down a first team place at Old Trafford this season, turning out just 21 times for the Champions.

Newly promoted mega rich Ligue 1 side Monaco are also said to be interested in the 26 year old.

Finally, Football 365 have confirmed that Andre Santos will return to Arsenal, once his loan with Gremio is completed.
