Arsenal were humiliated for a third successive game versus German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich as they were beaten by the same scoreline yet again – 5-1.
Paddy Power Champions League odds had Carlo Ancelotti’s side as odds-on for the return leg and the Germans didn’t disappoint.
Here are our favourites:
How can he NOT resign or be sacked after this?
This is utter humiliation. #WengerOUT— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 7, 2017
British journalist and television personality Piers Morgan is part of the anti-Arsène Wenger brigade. The celebrity Arsenal fan referred to the 5-1 hammering on home turf as an “utter humiliation”, question how the Gunners boss could not possibly be sacked now.

Arsenal TSN took the time to showcase some of the ‘Wenger out’ banners at last night’s game. The size of these crowds and number of banners are getting bigger and bigger as we near the end of the season.

Blaize Vincent insists that Wenger cannot be the Arsenal manager next season. The French manager is in the final few months of his current contract with the Gunners for whom many believe will let the long-serving boss go in the summer.

With the score only 4-1 on the night, Shabaz referenced the then 9-2 aggregate lead for the Germans as a “cricket score”. It wasn’t far off. It wasn’t far off being a UEFA Champions League record aggregate scoreline either; that still stands though – Bayern Munich 12-1 Sporting Club of Portugal back in 2009.
Wenger should do the right thing and resign tonight #wengerout #afc #allegriin #arsbay
— Døvid G (@Greatgooner) March 7, 2017
Dövid G believes that Wenger should have handed his resignation in the morning after Arsenal’s hammering at the Emirates on Tuesday night. It is their third 5-1 defeat by Bayern Munich in less than two years.
My mum who knows nothing about football must said to me "it seems to be the same every year" sums it up really #WengerOut

Even Sam’s mum is aware that Arsenal are not moving forward under the French manager…

Kunjan Malde revealed that he paid £65 to be at the Emirates on Tuesday night to watch Bayern Munich ‘train’ in his words. The Bavarians scored all five goals in the second half after the dismissal of Laurent Koscielny. Interestingly, nine of their 10 goals on aggregate came in the second half of each leg, and also when the Arsenal captain was off the field.

Serk Mehmet believes that Wenger is no longer any good for the club he supports. The North London club have not won the Premier League since 2004 and have been disappointing in the Champions League since reaching the final in 2006.
This is too much! How much more pain should fans endure ?@Arsenal #WengerOUT !!!!!!
