Jenkinson will play for England

Following the confirmation that Carl Jenkinson was training with the England squad yesterday, there were several raised eyebrows after the player had represented the Finland youth teams in an earlier stage of his career. However, it has now been confirmed that the former Charlton defender will represent the Three Lions, with Roy Hodgson stating that Jenkinson “didn’t take a lot of convincing”. Continue reading

Jenkinson builds up England experience

Few people would have envisaged Carl Jenkinson as an England international when he first made his debut for the Gunners last year, yet his performances over the course of the past couple of months have resulted in him gaining recognition from the Three Lions ahead of the qualifying game against Poland this week.
