Arsenal “in talks” over Valdes transfer

The Express have reported that Arsenal have opened talks with Victor Valdes agent over the possibility of signing the Spaniard in the summer.

Valdes, who played in Barcelona’s 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Allianz Arena, has confirmed that he will seek a new challenge at the end of the season, with the Emirates one of a number of potential destinations.

Frimpong set to make move permanent?

Emmanuel Frimpong’s Arsenal career seems to have come to an end, with reports suggesting that he could join Fulham on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The midfielder is currently on loan at Craven Cottage, and has made two appearances since joining up with Martin Jol’s men in January.

Arsenal to face Blackburn in Fifth Round

Arsenal will face Blackburn Rovers in the next round of the FA Cup after edging past Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

Theo Walcott’s 85th minute strike settled the tie, after both of Olivier Giroud’s efforts were cancelled out firstly by Ashley Barnes, and then Jose Ulloa.
