Reports in the Daily Express suggest that Alex Song could be on the verge of a shock return to the Emirates.

The midfielder left Arsenal for Barcelona in a £15 million deal last summer, but has only made ten league appearances for the Spanish Primera Liga leaders.

French side Paris Saint Germain are also said to be interested in Song, who spent seven years at the Emirates before joining Tito Villanova’s side.

Elsewhere, the club have been linked with a move for Auxerre youngster Yaya Sanogo.

The striker has been in impressive form for the Ligue 2 side, scoring eight goals in just seven appearances, and is reportedly being watched by clubs in Italy, Germany and France.

Meanwhile, someone who doesn’t look to be in a rush to return to the Emirates is striker Joel Campbell.

The Costa-Rican is currently on loan with Spanish club Real Betis, confirming that he is happy with life in Seville in an interview with eldesmarque.es.

Campbell signed for Arsenal in August 2011, but is yet to make an appearance for the club having spent last season on loan with Lorient.

Finally, striker Benik Afobe has ended his loan spell with Championship side Millwall after picking up a knee injury, and will return to the club for treatment.
