Real join Jovetic race

Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, according to the Daily Star.

The Spanish giants have reportedly added the Montenegro international to their growing list of attacking targets, with moves for Napoli forward Edinson Cavani and Liverpool’s Luis Suarez also mooted.

Arsenal have been linked with Jovetic for some time, though in recent weeks their attention appears to have been fully on their attempts to sign Gonzalo Higuain.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports have reported that Lyon’s Maxime Gonalons will not be sold to Arsenal this summer, according to their chairman.

The Gunners are one of a number of clubs to be linked with the defensive midfielder, but the French clubs chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has insisted that the play has a desire to remain at the Stade de Gerland.

However, Gonalons’ teammate Clement Grenier remains on Arsenal’s radar, after he hinted that he could be set for a move away from Lyon this summer.

Elsewhere, Toulouse defender Serge Aurier, who has also been linked with a move to the Emirates, stirred up speculation of a potential transfer by posting a picture of himself in an Arsenal shirt on Twitter.

Finally, Colchester United have completed the signing of Sanchez Watt, following his release by the Gunners.
