Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their grip on top spot in the Premier League as they travel to face Swansea City in tomorrow’s late kick-off.
The Gunners will give late fitness tests to Mathieu Flamini and man of the moment Aaron Ramsey ahead of the game, with the pair suffering from shoulder and thigh problems respectively.
The latter is in the form of his life, having hit seven goals in all competitions so far this season.
The game will come too soon for Czech Republic international Tomas Rosicky, though he may be fit in time for Tuesday’s visit of Napoli, while Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla, Abou Diaby, Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolski and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also miss out.
Should the North-Londoners win the match, it will be the first time in eighteen month’s that the club would have won five league games on the bounce.
Meanwhile, manager Arsene Wenger has said that he expects to sign a new contract with the club, the Daily Star understands.
The Frenchman has been in charge of the club for seventeen years, and despite not clinching any silverware in the last eight seasons, is set to be offered a new deal.
