Ozil rates Rosicky as one of league’s best

Mesut Ozil has heaped praise on his teammate Tomas Rosick by saying that he is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, the Express understands.

The Czech Republic international has enjoyed some of the best football of his Arsenal career this season, playing alongside Ozil and Santi Cazorla.

He has made twenty-one appearances in all competitions, and bagged his first goal of the season in the 2-0 FA Cup third round victory over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

Meanwhile, the Mail Online understands that the Gunners will still make an offer for Schalke’s Julian Draxler, despite the midfielder requiring treatment for a ruptured tendon.

The 20 year old is set for surgery in Munich which is likely to keep him out of action until March, but Arsene Wenger remains keen on securing the services of the starlet.

Despite his young age, Draxler has made over one hundred and thirty club appearances, and has won ten full international for Germany.

Elsewhere, Serge Gnabry has distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to Borussia Dortmund by insisting that he is happy at Arsenal, according to TalkSport.

The eighteen year old has made nine appearances this season, and scored his first senior goal in the 2-1 win at Swansea City back in September.
