Sunderland’s Simon Mignolet is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a summer move to the Emirates.
The Express reports that the Gunners will move for the Belgian shot-stopper who has kept nine clean sheets in the Premier League this season.
The club were previously linked with the 23 year old back in January, and is thought to be valued much less than fellow targets Asmir Begovic of Stoke City and Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas.
Arsene Wenger has been guaranteed a large transfer kitty for the summers, with an amount in the region of £70 million reportedly available for new enforcements.
Elsewhere, the Daily Mail have reported that midfielder Andriy Arshavin could retire when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 31 year old has fallen completely out of favour at the Emirates, having played just eighty minutes of league football this season; his last appearance being a fifteen minute cameo in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea back in January.
However, clubs in China and the MLS are said to be interested in the former Russian international, who signed from Zenit St Petersburg for a club record £15 million back in February 2009.
