Arsenal duo Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky have finalised their new deals with the club, according to the Mirror.
Germany international Mertesacker, who has formed a consistent partnership at the heart of the Gunner’s defence with Laurent Koscielny, has committed himself to the cause until the summer of 2017.
Rosicky, who is currently playing arguably his best football since signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2006, is delighted to have pledged his future to the club, declaring his pride at wearing the red and white.
The Metro understand that Aaron Ramsey will be the next member of Arsene Wenger’s squad to put pen to paper on a new deal.
The Wales international, who has been out since picking up a thigh injury in the victory over West Ham United on Boxing Day, is reportedly set to become the Gunners’ second highest earner behind record signing Mesut Ozil.
The 23 year old returned to full training this week, and while Saturday afternoon’s FA Cup quarter final with Everton is likely to come to0 soon for him, he could be fit to face Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League last sixteen tie at the Allianz Arena next Tuesday evening.
