Koscielny set for Gunners return

Arsenal make the short trip to struggling West Ham United hoping to claim the three points that could see them return to the top of the Premier League.

The Gunners will be without midfielder Jack Wilshere, who completes a two-match suspension while Laurent Koscielny could return after missing Monday’s goalless draw with Chelsea with a cut to his knee.

League leaders Liverpool, who are above Arsene Wenger’s men on goal difference, travel to third place Manchester City, while fourth place Chelsea and fifth place Everton, who are both two points off the top, host Swansea City and Sunderland respectively.

Meanwhile, the club are preparing a double raid on Real Madrid for Iker Casillas and Alvaro Morata, according to the Metro.

Goalkeeper Casillas is keen to cement his place as his Spain’s first choice ahead of next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil after being frozen out, at least in La Liga, at Real Madrid with Diego Lopez playing every minute under Carlo Ancelotti.

Morata, 21, has made just one league start this season, and has also been linked with a move to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal will reportedly move for the pair when the transfer window reopens next month.
