Juventus have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentine international is expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer, and reports in Italy claim that a deal with the Serie A Champions has been agreed ‘in principle’ .
If true, it would be a blow to the Gunners and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who are both said to be interested in the 25 year old, who has hit fifteen goals in 27 La Liga appearance s this season.
Juventus also appear to be the front runners in the chase for Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic.
The Italian club have reportedly offered £15 million plus two players for the Montenegro international, who has long been a target for Arsenal.
The 23 year olds agent last week hinted that the player is not interested in a move away from Italy.
Elsewhere, the Daily Mail have reported that the club are interested in Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier.
The 22 year old, who has been likened to former Gunner Samir Nasri, is valued at around £8 million.
Grenier scored his seventh league goal of the campaign in his sides 2-0 win over Rennes in the final Ligue 1 game of the season yesterday.
