Jovetic eyes Premier League move

Arsenal are on alert after Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic declared his love for the Premier League.

The Montenegro international, who is set to face England in tomorrow’s World Cup Qualifier in Podgorica, has been linked with a move to the Emirates throughout the season and told the Daily Star that he believes the Premier League “is at the top of the football world”.

The 23 year old has a buy-out clause in his contract though to be around £25 million, is also reportedly a target for Premier League champions Manchester City.

Meanwhile, following initial reports of the Gunners interest in Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, the Star claim that the club could infact make a double swoop that includes a deal for defender Christopher Samba should Harry Redknapp’s men be relegated.

The report suggests the Arsene Wenger is readying an £18 million move for the pair, who only moved to Loftus Road in the January transfer window.

Finally, the club have signed Nigerian international Godfrey Oboabona on trial.

The 22 year-old centre back, who currently plays for the Sunshine Stars in his home country, was part of the side who won the Africa Cup of Nations last month.
