Jovetic deal hinges on top four finish

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic depend on whether or not the Gunners manage to qualify for next seasons Champions League.

The report in the Express also claims that the club will have to “break the bank” to land the Montenegro international, who has constantly been linked with a move to the Emirates in recent months.

Juventus are also said to be interested in the 23 year old, who will reportedly cost £25 million, £10 million more than previous record signing Andrey Arshavin.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star claim that the club will battle with Liverpool and Newcastle United for the signature of Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou.

The 23 year old Cameroon defender has started all of Marseille’s Ligue 1 matches this season, scoring one goal, and has won 23 full international caps.

Elsewhere, Mikel Arteta has declared that fellow midfielder Tomas Rosicky can play a key part in Arsenal’s challenge for a top-four position.

The Gunners are now odds on to qualify for next season’s Champions League, having been behind Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the chase for much of the season.

Czech Republic international Rosicky netted both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 win at West Bromwich Albion.
