Higuain interested in Arsenal move

Gunners target Gonzalo Higuain has confirmed that he would be interested in a move to the Emirates.

The Argentine international told the Metro that Arsenal would ‘suit’ him, while Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are also said to be in the race for his signature.

Higuain, who scored sixteen goals in twenty-eight La Liga appearances for Real Madrid last season, is thought to favour a move to the Premier League, though there has also been interest from Italy.

The 25 year old is one of a number of attacking targets Arsene Wenger has identified this summer.

Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic has been on the Frenchman’s radar for the majority of this calendar year, though the clubs are yet to agree on a fee.

Wayne Rooney of Manchester United has also been mentioned, though despite Arsenal’s willingness to spend this summer, he may prove to be too expensive.

Meanwhile, Etienne Capoue has appeared to move closer to securing a switch to the Premier League after telling Toulouse that he wants to leave, the Metro understands.

The 24 year old France international midfielder, who is also reportedly wanted by Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan, scored seven goals in thirty-four Ligue 1 appearances last season.
