Henry reveals chance Wenger meeting led to Arsenal move

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed that he joined Arsenal after a chance meeting on a plane with Arsene Wenger, the Metro understands.

The Frenchman moved to Highbury in from Juventus in 1999, and went on to become the clubs all-time top scorer with 228 goals in 377 games.

The striker, currently plying his trade in MLS with New York Red Bull’s, has said that after Juve’s final game of the 1998/99 campaign, he was flying to Paris when he bumped into to the Gunners manager, and told him of his desire to join him in North London.
