Gunners tighten grip on top spot with four-goal rout

Arsenal maintained their place at the top of the Premier League with a 4-1 win over Norwich City at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Jack Wilshere opened the scoring on eighteen minutes, finishing of a sublime team move before Mesut Ozil doubled the hosts advantage just before hour mark.

Jonny Howson pulled one back for Chris Hughton’s men with twenty minutes left before Aaron Ramsey and a second from Ozil put the result beyond doubt.

The Gunners will have the chance to extend their lead at the top when they make the short trip to lowly Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime.

However, the club will first turn their attention to tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund, where they can tighten their grip at the top of Group F.

Robert Lewandowski will once again lead the line for Jurgen Klopp’s men amid interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

The Mirror have reported that Arsenal will battle with Manchester City for the Poland international, who is set to quit the Westfalenstadion in the summer.

The 25 year old originally looked set to secure a move to Dortmund’s fierce rivals Bayern Munich, but has since entertained the possibility of moving to England.
