Gunners stay top after Baggies draw

Arsenal’s winning streak away from home was brought to an end after they were held to a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion yesterday afternoon.

The point was however enough to see them return to the top of the Premier League, having been briefly replaced by Liverpool following their win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Claudio Yacob put the hosts in front three minutes before half-time only for Jack Wilshere to draw the Gunners level with a deflected shot from twenty yards on sixty-three minutes.

Arsene Wenger’s men will now turn their attention to the visit of Norwich City a week on Saturday, following the international break.

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere has admitted that he made a mistake, after he was pictured smoking last week.

The England international was snapped outside a London nightclub with a cigarette following the 2-0 Champions League win over Napoli on Tuesday evening.

The 21 year has stated that he is not a smoker, and has vowed not to light up again.

Finally, Paris Saint Germain are plotting one final swoop for manager Arsene Wenger, the Mirror understands.

The Frenchman is expected to be offered a new contract by the North London club, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
