Arsenal are considering a move for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, according to the Express.
Arsene Wenger is on the lookout for a new striker to bring in further cover for first choice forward Olivier Giroud, with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Fernando Llorente of Juventus also linked with a move to the Emirates.
Former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou is also reportedly a target for the North London club, as is Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez, who like Dzeko is keen to play more regularly.
However Dzeko, who is said to be frustrated at his lack of game time under Manuel Pellegrini may be a more vialbe option with him already plying his trade in the English top flight.
The Bosnian has scored three league goals this season in just seven appearances – three of which have come as a substitute.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star have said that the Gunners are also eyeing a bid for Dzeko’s international teammate Edin Visca.
The 23 year old, who currently plays in Turkey for Istanbul BB, has four goals in twelve league games this season, and is in line to win his fourth cap for Bosnia against Argentina in the early hours of Tuesday morning (UK time).
