Former Arsenal player Perry Groves has told TalkSport that he believes that Luis Suarez is not the type of character Arsene Wenger likes, following reports that the controversial forward could move to the Emirates.
Yesterday it emerged that some bookmakers has slashed the odds of the Uruguayan joining the Gunners, with one firm making North London his most likely destination for next season.
However Groves, who won the Old First Division twice with the club in 1989 and 1991, is confident that a player like Suarez “wouldn’t fit Arsene Wenger’s remit”.
The 26 year old, who recently competed in the Confederations Cup in Brazil, will miss the first six games of the season as he completes a ban handed to him for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
