Arsenal will be without Mathieu Flamini for this evening’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates.
The 29 year old, who has been in sublime form since returning to the club from AC Milan, was substituted with concussion in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Norwich City, and will be allowed to rest.
Theo Walcott has suffered a minor setback in his recovery from an abdominal problem and remains side-lined along with Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby.
Victory would take Arsenal six points clear of Jurgen Klopp’s men, while Napoli face Marseille in the other game in Group F.
Elsewhere, Barcelona are considering a move for Jack Wilshere as they look for a long term replacement for Xavi and Andres Iniesta, the Daily Star understands.
The Spanish duo, who are 33 and 29 respectively, remain as first choice in the centre of midfield for the Catalan club, though reports are suggesting that they are on the lookout for a younger option, and at 21, Wilshere would fit the bill.
The England international, who has made 119 appearances under Arsene Wenger, opened the scoring in style in Saturday’s win over Norwich, his second strike of the season.
