Mathieu Flamini is set to return to the Arsenal line up to face former club Marseille in tonight’s Champions League group F clash.
The France international missed Saturday’s Premier League win over Southampton through suspension after amassing five yellow cards, but could feature at the Emirates Stadium.
Theo Walcott, who scored when the sides met back in September, is likely to retain his place after returning from injury against Southampton at the weekend, though the match has come to soon for Lukas Podolski, who is short of match fitness following his hamstring injury.
Yaya Sanogo, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby also all remain side-lined.
Arsenal’s progress into the knockout stages will be secured if they win this evening and Napoli avoid defeat against Borussia Dortmund, while a win for Rafa Benitez’s side would ensure the Gunners and their own place in the next round, so long as Marseille don’t win. A point would also be enough for the Serie A side regardless of other results.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has ruled out re-signing Thierry Henry for a second time, according to the Mail Online.
The forward, who is currently in the off-season with New York Red Bulls, has been training with the club along with fellow former Gunner Robert Pires.
