Flamini and Gnabry out of Liverpool clash

Arsenal have no fresh injury worries ahead of their clash with Liverpool at the Emirates in tomorrow’s late kick off in the Premier League.

Mathieu Flamini and Serge Gnabry remain out of contention along with Lukas Podolski, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Yaya Sanogo and Abou Diaby, though Mikel Arteta returns following a one-match suspension.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 2-2 in January, while the Gunners ran out 2-0 winners when the sides met at Anfield last September.

Three points here would see Arsene Wenger’s men tighten their grip on top spot, while defeat would see the Reds leapfrog them. Chelsea, who along with Liverpool have twenty points to Arsenal’s twenty-two, face Newcastle United earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, mega-spending Ligue One side Monaco are planning a £34m swoop for Theo Walcott, according to the Mail Online.

The England international, who has been out of action for over a month having picked up an abdominal strain is unlikely to be allowed to leave the club as the Gunners push for a first league title in ten years.

The 24 year old has made 270 appearances in all competitions since signing from Southampton in January 2006, scoring 64 goals while internationally, he has been capped 36 times for England.
