The January transfer window is less than 90 days away from opening and rumors involving the future of certain players have really been starting to spread and one of those players is the German midfielder of Real Madrid, Sami Khedira.

Sami Khedira has fallen behind the pecking order of Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid as the Italian manager usually prefers to utilize Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez in the midfield section of his squad and this leaves no space for Khedira to perform in.

It doesn’t look like Khedira will be playing a starting role in Real Madrid anytime soon as the club is performing well enough without his services. This lack of playing time for the German midfielder has started a series of rumors which link Khedira with a move away from Real Madrid and into Chelsea.

The Chelsea of Jose Mourinho has a vast supply of attacking players but the Portuguese coach does not have at his disposal a solid and experienced defensive midfielder such as Sami Khedira. Nemanja Matic is a defensive midfielder but he lacks the experience that Sami Khedira can add into any squad as the German player has performed in the biggest stages in the world. Chelsea are the favourites to land Kehdira, who also tracked all the other most likely options.

Arsenal is another club that is being linked with Sami Khedira as the injuries of the Premier League club continues to add on and Arsene Wenger is in need of new arrivals to the team as soon as humanly possible.

If Jose Mourinho is truly interested in signing Sami Khedira then a race is going to start as both English clubs are going to attempt to lure the German midfielder to their respective squads but if the injuries continue popping up in the team of Arsene Wenger, the French manager will need to sign a number of players in January with Khedira being on the top of the list while Jose Mourinho does not really require to sign Khedira as much as Wenger needs to.

Neither Chelsea or Arsenal are expected to be willing on splashing out a substantially high amount of money in order to sign Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, if a transfer does indeed happen it will depend if Ancelotti wants to sell Khedira and at what price.
