Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is convinced that the club can challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Spanish international, who has exceled in his first season at the Emirates with 12 goals in 35 league appearances this season, told the London Evening Standard that: “We (the club) want to be fighting for all the competitions, and I’m sure we will”.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal midfielder Remi Garde believes that Arsene Wenger will remain at Arsenal next, following reports that he is a target for French Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain.
Garde, who currently manages Lyon, and was part of Wenger’s double winning squad in 1997-98, told RMC Sport that he expected his former manager to at least see out his contract at the Emirates, which runs until the summer of 2014.
Elsewhere, Brazilian side Sao Paolo are reportedly keen to agree a permanent deal for midfielder Denilson, who has been on loan from the Gunners for the past two seasons.
The 25 year old, whose last appearance in an Arsenal shirt was in a 2-2 draw at West Bromwich Albion in March 2011, has expressed a desire to stay in his homeland, and Sao Paolo are happy to retain his services.
