Arsenal are planning another major transfer swoop in January, with the club expected to revive their interest in Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, according to the Metro.
The club smashed their transfer record this week to bring in Germany international Mezut Ozil for £42.5m, and are now preparing another big money move when the window reopens in January.
The Gunners failed with two bids for Suarez this summer, though reports suggest that they will table a third bid for the striker who is set to return to first team action with Liverpool later this month after he completes the ten-match suspension he received for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in the 2-2 draw at Anfield back in April.
Meanwhile, Mathieu Flamini has says it feels like he ‘never left’ Arsenal having returned to the club last month, the Metro understands.
The midfielder, who came on as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, originally left the Gunners back in 2008, but was bought back in by Arsene Wenger following a five year spell in Serie A with AC Milan.
Finally, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere have been named in England’s starting XI for this evening’s World Cup Qualifier against Moldova at Wembley.
