Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s humiliation at Stamford Bridge when they take on Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium this evening.
The Gunners will have both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs available after the red card shown to Gibbs for the incident involving them both at Stamford Bridge was rescinded, though Laurent Koscielny is out after he picked up a calf injury at the weekend.
The France international joins midfielders Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Abou Diaby, Ryo Miyaichi, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere on the sidelines.
Victory for Arsene Wenger’s men will see them close the gap on leaders Chelsea back to four points, though they will remain in fourth place if Manchester City beat neighbours United at Old Trafford.
Second place Liverpool host Sunderland on Wednesday evening, and can move to within just one point of first place with victory.
Meanwhile, Kim Kallstrom has vowed to repay the Gunners’ supporters following his ‘surprising’ January move to North London, according to the Mirror.
The Sweden international, who has been struggling with a back problem, finally made it into Arsene Wenger’s match-day squad at the weekend, but is still yet to appear for the club.
