Arsenal are preparing to use their reported £70 million transfer kitty to raid the Bundesliga for three of its star assets.
The Daily Mail have reported that Arsene Wenger is lining up bids for Borussia Dortmund pair Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze, and Lars Bender of Bayer Leverkusen.
Polish forward Lewandowski, who is also a target for Premier League table toppers Manchester United and Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich, would cost a reported £25 million.
Gotze, who has turned heads across Europe with goals for club and country would command a similar fee, while his international teammate Bender has been one of Leverkusen’s star players as they look to make a return to the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have been alerted to the possibility of Swansea City duo Ashley Williams and Michel Vorm.
The Welsh side’s assistant manager Alan Curtis told Talk Sport that the pair could move on if the right offer comes in for them.
Finally, a fee of £30 million pounds has been placed on Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, who has been repeatedly linked with the club.
The current record fee the club have spent is the £15 million it took to sign Andrei Arshavin four years ago.
