Arsenal keep pace with Champions League hopefuls

Arsenals remain four points behind fourth place Tottenham Hotspur after fighting back from two goals down to salvage a point against Liverpool.

Luis Suarez gave the visitors the lead after just five minutes before Jordan Henderson doubled their advantage on the hour mark.

However, two quick fire goals from Olivier Giroud and top scorer Theo Walcott levelled the score-line.

Both sides had opportunities to win the game in the final twenty minutes; the spoils were shared, leaving Arsene Wenger’s men in sixth position.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed by the club the Keiran Gibbs will be out for up to three weeks having limped off in the 37th minute of last night’s game.

With time running out in the transfer window, the club look set to make a final swoop for West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Diame, whilst David Villa may also still be on Arsene Wenger’s radar.

One other man who could be on his way to the Emirates, is Gunners legend Dennis Bergkamp, who is reportedly being line up to replace Liam Brady as head of the youth academy next May.

Brady, who played for the club in the 1970’s, has overseen the development of players such as Ashley Cole and Jack Wilshere in his time in the role.
