Arsenal have, out of nowhere, emerged as one of the favorites to land Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer. It may not look like the deal will happen anyway, but everything is in place for Arsenal to sign the player as they need a new striker, with Chelsea keen to offload the England international star and the player also very interested in joining a new club. Abraham has recently seen his chances of playing for Chelsea limited and has continued to find it really difficult to displace Timo Werner from the starting eleven. He has grown frustrated at his lack of game time and has also reportedly asked to leave.
Arsenal are looking for a bright, young striker that can lead the team, with current options Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both firing blanks for the Gunners in recent months. The two strikers have been tipped to be let go by Arsenal but the north London club will at least want to sign replacements before finalizing any exit of either striker.
Abraham fits into the profile of the kind of player Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants and the Spanish coach has asked Arsenal to get him his man.
