Arsenal in for Jesus Navas?

Borussia Dortmund will battle with Arsenal for the signing on Spanish international Jesus Navas, according to Talksport.

Dortmund have already confirmed the departure of Mario Gotze, who is set to join fellow Champions League finalists and domestic rivals Bayern Munich, and are on the lookout for replacements.

Arsenal, who have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks following news that they are to spend big this summer, have closely monitored the Sevilla winger in recent years and will have to spend somewhere in the region of £17 million if they are to have an offer accepted.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has conceded that Arsenal are likely to finish above their North London rival’s yet again, following the 2-2 draw between Spurs and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday evening.

Victory for Andre Villas Boas’ side would have seen them move above the Gunners ahead of the final two games of the season, though the point leaves them in fifth position, a point and a place behind Arsenal, who finish the season with games against Wigan Athletic and Newcastle United.

Dawson admitted to the Metro:

“It’s out of our hands if Arsenal win their two games”.
