Arsenal haggling for Jovetic

Arsenal are keen to bring down the asking price for striker Stevan Jovetic, with Fiorentina currently valuing the Montenego international at £30 million.

However, ESPN have reported that the Italian club’s sporting director Daniel Prade has dismissed the Gunners interest as ‘non-existent’.

Jovetic is expected to move to a club in the Champions League as Fiorentina narrowly missed out to AC Milan on qualification for Europe’s top competition.

Italian Champions Juventus are also reportedly interested in the 23 year old, who scored 13 goals in 31 Serie A appearances last season.

One striker who does appear to be on the verge of securing a move to the Emirates is Yaya Sanogo, who according to Auxerre president Guy Cotret, has left to carry out a medical.

The 20 year old scored nine goals in just twelve Ligue 2 appearances last season, and has two caps for the French Under 21 side.

Meanwhile, Barcelona full back Dani Alves has said that he would be open to a move away from the Nou Camp, amid interest from Arsenal.

The Brazilian would be an ideal replacement for Bacary Sagna, who has been linked with a move to French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain.
