Arsenal extend lead with draw against Everton

Arsenal have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to despite only drawing with Everton at the Emirates Stadium yesterday afternoon.

In a finely balance match between two of the decisions form sides, it was the hosts who made the breakthrough on eighty minutes through Mesut Ozil only for Gerard Deulofeu to strike four minutes level four minutes later, and give Roberto Martinez’s men a share of the spoils.

Chelsea’s shock defeat to Stoke City means that they stay on thirty points, while Liverpool thumped West Ham United at Anfield to join Jose Mourinho’s men on the same tally.

Both now sit five points behind Arsenal, who will turn their attention to Wednesday evening’s crucial Champions League final group game against Napoli before travelling to fourth place Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

Meanwhile, Arsenal target Yohan Cabaye has suggested that he could be tempted to move to Paris Saint Germain, the Daily Star understands.

The midfielder, who hit the winning goal for Newcastle United against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, was linked with a move to the Gunners in the summer, but has said that he hopes PSG win the Champions League before exclaiming that everybody would want to join a club such as the Ligue 1 side.
