£30m Suarez bid rejected

Arsenal have had a £30million bid for Luis Suarez reject by Liverpool, the Daily Mail understands.

The Uruguayan, who is currently serving a ten match suspension after biting an opponent, has drawn interest from a host of clubs since expressing a desire to leave Anfield back in May.

Real Madrid had been the early front runners in the race for the 26 year olds signature, though Chelsea and now Arsenal have expressed an interested.

Bookmakers last week stopped taking bets on Suarez moving to the Emirates after a flood of activity, though the majority of firms still have the Bernabeu as his most likely destination beyond summer transfer window.

Elsewhere, the Gunners are close to agreeing a deal for Real Madrid striker Gonazlo Higuain, though sources close to the Spanish giants have stressed that his future is still undecided, the Sun understands.

The 25 year old is set to meet with new Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to discuss his future in the next few days.

Meanwhile, Arsenal target Julain Draxler has refused to rule out playing in the Premier League at some stage though a move this summer is unlikely, according to the Express.

The 19 year old scored ten goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke last season.
